Voice Alarm System for the Nuclear Sector

We have just completed an £85,000 contract to carry out a major voice alarm system upgrade. The work was carried out for one of the countries nuclear power operators.

The systems dual redundant, Baldwin Boxall BVR20, routers have been changed to Baldwin’s Evas 2 routers giving the site greater flexibility. In addition to the router upgrade all forty five Vigil BV333 amplifiers have been changed out to Vigil BV450’s. Consequently much of the rack wiring also had to be replaced.

A long period of careful planning saw the system upgrade carried out over three weekends with minimal disruption to the systems availability.
